Nancy O'Dell's debut job in the broadcast industry was as an anchor and reporter at WPDE-TV Myrtle Beach South Carolina. Later, she worked at WCBD as anchor for the morning show and as a crime reporter. Her articles from Charleston concerning how Charleston police handled DUI cases in a manner that was lenient, led to an inquiry by State Law Enforcement Division. The inquiry led to a stronger direction for state officials. The Associated Press awarded Ms. O'Dell with her Best Report of the year Award to all South Carolina media. O'Dell has worked working in Charleston as a reporter and co-anchor for NBC's Miami WTVJ-TV station before moving into Access Hollywood where she is now a correspondent and co-anchor during weekends. O'Dell's current role as host of Access Hollywood is complemented by her contributions to NBC News Today, Dateline NBC as well as NBC News. She's reported on events such including The Oscars The Emmys The Grammys and The Golden Globe Awards as well as co-hosting a number of shows that were pre-showarrivals for The Emmys and the Golden Globes. Other co-hosting credits include Miss USA, the Miss USA pageant, and Miss Universe.
