Julie Chen Moonves hosted the famous summer reality series Big Brother which returned to CBS for its 22nd Season on August 5. Chen Moonves had been the first of The Talk's hosts, hosting and moderating The Talk between 2010 and 2018. The real love of her life was writing, and she won an Emmy. Her hosting an exceptional entertainment talk show won her another Emmy. The Talk is a show which examines the current news with five female host. Chen Moonves co-hosted CBS NewsThe Morning Show on a weekday The Early Show in 2002 in 2010 and then became host of the talk show. Prior to this, Chen Moonves was the CBS Morning News' anchor as well as the anchor for news for The Early Show. Chen Moonves was tasked with reporting from Cairo following the events of 9/11. In Cairo, she scoured down and talked to the father of hijackers for an eye-opening and captivating interview. Chen Moonves interviewed celebrities such as Denzel Washington and Angelina Jolie. In addition, she met with former New York City mayor Rudy Giuliani and Queen Rania. Chen Moonves also reported for the Emmy-winning CBS Sunday Morning news show which featured celebrities such as Jamie Lee Curtis and Paula Abdul.Prior to The Early Show, Chen Moonves reported as an anchor and reporter at the CBS-owned WCBS-TV station located in New York City (1997-1999).Before joining CBS News, Chen Moonves worked as a reporter at WDTN-TV Dayton (1995-1997). She was a producer for ABC NewsOne (1992-1995), the news affiliate of CBS, and she was an office assistant for ABC News' Los Angeles bureau (1990-1991), while finishing her senior year at University of Southern California. It was her first job in broadcasting as a desk assistant for ABC News' late-night show Nightline with Ted Koppel. Ted Koppel is still among the journalists she admires. Chen Moonves worked with Koppel in the Columbia du-Pont-nominated primetime special, Anatomy of a Riot, which examined the 1992 Los Angeles riots.
